There will be no customizing colors, names or items at any time before or during a tournament match. Any player that does so will be given a loss.
First stage select is chosen randomly. Loser chooses next stage.

Players will play rock-paper-scissors to decide who plays blue sheep.
The following stages are legal
The Cathedral, Clock Tower, Quadrangle, Spiral Corridor, Torture Chamber, Underground Cemetery
The Empireo, Inquisition and Prison of Despair are all banned for various reasons.
Players can always "gentleman's agreement" to these stages if they wish.
The first stage is decided by a strikes/bans system.
Players take turns striking stages starting with the orange sheep until 2 stages remain.
At this point, it will be orange sheep's turn to ban, this player then chooses a stage.
From game 2 onward, the loser of the previous game will choose the stage.
Players may not choose a stage that they have previously won on in that set. This is commonly known as "Dave's Stupid Rule" in the Smash community.
If a player pauses at any point during a round, they will lose the round.
Rivals of Aether
Tournament matches are initiated through Local Versus mode with default tournament settings enabled (3 stocks, 8 minute timer, Aether stages “off”).
Matches are played in a best two out of three format
The top 8 will be played in a best three out of five format. The first game’s stage is selected using last-stage striking (1-1-1-1-1-1) and subsequent games in the series use winner-strikes-two. When choosing stages, a player cannot return to any stage they have previously won on without the consent of their opponent (modified Dave's stupid rule)

Legacy / “Old Man” Games
These games will be played on Supergun, this offers an arcade perfect experience. It is Bring Your Own Controller and only Ps3/Xbox360/Ps4 (when applicable) pads or sticks are compatible. These events are subject to capping, if we procure more hardware we will raise the cap. Unless stated otherwise, these games also follow the standard ruleset.
